Our Story

Heritage Church was originally called Prairie Family Church was incorporated in fall of 1996. In late 1997 the church began renting the facilities of a Mennonite/Brethren church that had ceased operations and purchased the building in March 2000. The ministry facility and office are located at 500 Remington Avenue in north Bismarck to this day. Since her beginning, this church has continued to reach out in ministry to the community.

In the summer of 2023 the church changed its name to Heritage Church. With the new name came a renewed mission and vision that desires to leave a heritage of hope. Romans 5:12 says, "Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."
Hope is what people are looking for and we believe that hope is found here. 

In order for us to bring hope to those who are searching we have based our mission and vision upon three commandments that Christ has given us. They are found in Matthew 22 and John 13. Jesus commanded us to Love God, Love Others, and to Change the World through Serving.

 It is that simple!

We were created to worship God and to love Him. Our desire is for people to draw closer to Him through inspiring worship and dynamic Biblical preaching. We are. also commanded to love our neighbors. Who are our neighbors? We believe they are the people around us. And lastly, out of the natural flow of loving God and loving others is to serve others so that we can impact the world with the Good News of Christ.
